Wow.
So, I went to my Etsy this morning to just check, to be absolutely sure I have continued to have ZERO sales in my pathetic existence of a shop. Yes, that was definitely my attitude. Bad. Real bad. We're talking a bit of a 'pity party', if you will, where you doubt your abilities, if you can even call it abilities! I opened up my account and had 4 messages, which was strange. All of them being from people that I didn't know and were absolutely encouraging. I know it was from God. I have no doubt. Apparently one of my things was advertised on the front page, unbeknownst to me. I missed it! It was so what I needed to hear today. And it was great conviction to my nasty, ungrateful heart. And I am so glad it was encouragement from others with still not a single sale...because I know I need to change my heart's attitude about that. And I need to be reminded of the reason I'm even doing this in the first place. Thank you, Jesus! You provide everything I need, even if its a hard pill to swallow. It's all good.

So thankful that God gives us what we need, not necessarily what we think we want. although I don't think it's wrong for you to want to some sales sometime :) I'm proud of you, Laura, for all that you're doing as an artist, but also for what's being done in your heart.
ReplyDeleteHi! I found your blog through your etsy store. I just have to say I love all of your work. Thanks so much for letting your love for Christ shine through your art. It is so refreshing!! I am going to remember your store when it comes time for gift-giving!
ReplyDeleteI did a search on Flickr and found the front page feature you're talking about. I don't know if you have seen it or not, but here is the link: http://flickr.com/photos/28488923@N05/3239231772/ You were chosen by Admin! What an honor!
Don't get down about not having any sales. It will come. There are tons of helpful tools and people in the forums. I just wanted to encourage you today to keep at it!
Have a great day!!
