wouldn't that be awesome to find this on your doorstep as a surprise?! I went back and read what I wrote, and it does sound like maybe that's what happened, but no.... I had a bunch of scrapwood pieces from friends' home construction business (they let us go dumpster diving one fateful night: http://thingswithwingsartjournal.blogspot.com/2010/03/dumpster-diving.html ) Some of the pieces were even already cut into triangles! while the boys played outside one afternoon, I wood-glued scraps together to make houses. They'll get the Things With Wings treatment yet! And I have to find a creative way to hang them. They're heavy buggers! anyone got any suggestions?
Jill, I'm so glad that I found you guys. I love this style!!
I also see that you participate in art shows--which I do also. I love to read about other artist's experiences with shows in other parts of the country. I'm doing a show near Rochester, NY this coming weekend, which I'm looking forward too.
I'll be looking forward to reading of your summer AND enjoying all of your art--I'm a new fan!!
look forward to seeing it come to live!
ReplyDeleteDid you do them? Or a totally awesome someone give them to you? I know they are going to be wonderful...can't wait to see.
